As a community of fledgeling artists, we cannot ignore the abnormalities society constantly throws at us. Amid the chaos, we raise our voices to our burdens.
Artmosterrific’s biannual chapbook attempts to uplift the voices of young artists. Like the rest of the community, it attempts to create a pallet of voices speaking against or about the variety of problems we face as a whole.
Communality is such a powerful tool that we find it impossible to ignore. Alone, we are nothing, together we stand firm against the disdain and injustice pitted against us. And over and over, we see the need to pick up each abnormality – one by one, one after the other – to dismantle, dissect, and speak our truth.
We will publish two issues per year (June and December), each with a theme or themes. They will be curated and edited by Funmilayo Obasa with regular inclusion of guest editors. We particularly encourage every young artist to submit. Art is diverse, it has no boundaries. Your voices are valid.
